Music from the Underground – Culprit

Music From the Underground premiered yesterday with an acoustic performance and interview from Culprit. Topics ranging from band goals to what “underground” means were discussed.

Culprit played six songs, two of which were new ones from their forthcoming album out some time this summer.

They’re semi-finalists in Emergenza (European and North American festival for emerging bands) and their show will be Saturday, May 15 at the Joint in Beverly Hills.

KPCRadio.com would like to thank our listeners, and sometimes viewers, for the support we have received in the last few days while we launch.

A few things:

  • The Daily News covered our launch
  • Public Radio Exchange programming will be up on air soon as well as guest and faculty programming.
  • Monday through Friday we have live shows. Every other time, we have looped podcasts we’ve created and music.

Today on KPCRadio.com’s Off the Wire

Hosts Jeff Sandstoe and Louie Heredia tackle today’s top issues in the valley:

  • CSUN tenured economics professor, Kenneth Ng, removed his personal website Bigbabykenny.com that reportedly focused on sex-tourism in Thailand. What are the implications for CSUN? Can professors lead separate lives without influencing their ability to teach?
  • Andre Fuller, editor in chief of Pierce College’s newspaper Roundup, will talk about the Associated Student Organization’s latest controversies involving a possible impeachment of the student body president, Shani Simms.
