Brahma Sports Weekly – 10-26-10

On the Oct. 26 edition of Brahmas Sports Weekly hosts Tyler McGee and Bryan Melara welcomed football player Kenny Davis who talked about the teams recent game versus Santa Monica and the brawl that followed. Kenny also talked about his recruitment and changes being made to tackles in the NFL. Also on the program was Roundup sports editor Mark Gillman who talked about the Fall sports teams and the upcoming seasons for the Winter and Spring teams. Mark and the boys also talked about NFL hits and the start of the World Series.

No Rider Left Behind – Give me 3

For the first installment of No Rider Left Behind we had guest Don Ward in the studio discussing the new “Give Me 3” campaign launched by Mayor Villaraigosa’s office, LADOT, LAPD, the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition and Midnight Ridazz. Also discussed was what to do in an instance of a hit and run and the legal aspect behind it all.

Today’s episode on “What’s Happening” featured news briefs on national and local news. Ariana talks about a man being stuck under a train in hollywood and how two shots were fired at the Pentagon. Next, you’ll hear some celebrity news on hollywood’s latest and very “generous” actor, a very popular actress talking about her relationship with men, and a singer who’s dropping hints on her new album while on tour, Roundup News Editor Bryan Melara guest stars on the show, as he talks about his experience as a journalist at Pierce College, the JACC conference, and what to expected from the next Roundup issue.

Spotlight – “Attack of the Rotting Corpses”

In this episode of “Spotlight” hosts Travis Vail and Jeff Sandstoe speak with Zombie Joe and Sebastian Munoz members of the local theatre group Zombie Joe’s Underground. They talk about their upcoming performance called “Attack of the Rotting Corpses,” a play based on a zombie outbreak in  San Fernando Valley apartment complex.

On the Oct.19 edition of Brahmas Sports Weekly hosts Tyler McGee and Bryan Melara welcomed Volleyball players: Sam Potter & Theodora Papadopoulos, who talked about their recent games and the team’s chemistry. Also on the show was Athletic Director Bob Lofrano & Dean of Athletics Barbara Anderson. Lofrano and Anderson discussed many topics. One of the main ones was breast cancer awareness and support within Pierce athletics, in addition to other topics.
