Joseph discusses his road to a professional skateboarding career.

Skateboarding has been a massive sport for decades. One of the most amazing things about skateboarding is that pretty much anyone can do it. You can buy a board for $10 and just go to your local park and start practicing. Of course, you’ll need to find the best wrist guards for skateboarding as well as a helmet, but you can find those for pretty cheap too. Big names like Tony Hawk helped popularize the sport and made it more mainstream than ever before.

It is thanks to this popularity that more skate parks are being built in cities around the country. They are being funded by charities and councils that want to bring the community together and give children and teenagers a place they can get together. Today, we have been lucky enough to interview someone who is quickly making a name for themselves in the skating world, Joseph Bella.

Skate Valley with Eva Quispe is a show that focuses on the skateboarding community in the San Fernando Valley. On this episode Eva interviews Joseph Bella, who is an up-in-coming skater from West Hills. Joseph discusses his road to getting sponsored, and the challenges of being scouted in the Valley skate community. He says that the new Lanark Skate Park has boosted skating in the area, but that the best skate locations are in Los Angeles. Joseph talks about his practice time, his goals in skating, and how skateboarding has change his life. He also mentions how he has recovered from injuries, by pushing forward and doing what he loves.
