Hungry to Win with Olivia Cervantes is a show that focuses on Pierce College athletes who migrate to play sports at Pierce. On this Special Episode Olivia interviews entrepreneurs Bijan Nasir Shaikh and Amir Sonny Jafari of NB International. Bijan talks about how learned from watching his father operate a business, which inspired him to start his own. He also mentions that instead of going to college he obtained licenses and certifications needed in his field. Amir shares how his mother’s experiences in Realestate, and how he always desired to own his own business. He says that his mother is his hero, and that she taught him to be persistent and maintain his focus. Bijan and Amir also discuss the different companies they operate, and what it takes to manage a successful business.

On this episode Olivia talks DanceSport with Shannon Mackenzie, who is a professional dancer and sports model. Shannon shares how she had an early start in athletics and dance. She mentions that she started with Gymnastics and Ballet, and later transitioned into Jazz and HipHop. Shannon explains the relationship between athletics, dance and modeling, while talking about her experiences in the field. She also says that her main goals are to be a positive role model for young men and women, and to be featured on Sports Illustrated.

On this episode Olivia interviews Isaiah Williams and Kevin Trejo of the Pierce College Men’s Volleyball team. Kevin is a Nursing student, and a sophomore libero. Isaiah is a Communications student, and a sophomore setter. He shares that he followed his brother’s footsteps by playing high school volleyball, and that he became a Brahma to better his opportunities. Kevin mentions that he also played volleyball in high school, and that he started playing for Pierce because he missed the sport. They both discuss what it means to be a team player.

He discusses being a New York native, while talking about his position as corner back for the Pierce College Football team. Raymond mentions being from a different state has impacted his experience as a student athlete. He shares his early experiences playing football as a child, and discusses his future plans for a career in the NFL.
