This week I interviewed assistant professor of sociology and San Fernando valley activist James McKeever. We spoke about his background and childhood and how that affected his school life and his life before teaching and how he worked in the correctional system. We from there talked about how he became politically active and what ideology he adheres to and the different activities he’s done in the community, as well as the activist groups he is now a part of ( Students Organizing for Success and Resistance Against Gutting Education). He talked about the organization and general mission behind these groups. From there we discussed the current political air with the many struggles against oppression and imperialism world wide and the potential results of the upcoming vote on Proposition 30.
