Today on “Voice for the Voiceless,” Regem Corpuz hosts the show with guests Carlos Cruz and Estefania Pulido. Carlos Cruz is Pierce College Sociology Club President and affilliate with SOS and RAGE. Estefania Pulido is from We BUILD’s personal psychology counselor. Carlos Cruz discusses the CSU Freeze, the March to March, and SMC’s two- tiered system and how this will impact community college students. Regem Corpuz transitions with discussing undocumented students and their health. Estefania describes the impact of the educational crisis like the CSU freeze to undocumented students, and how one’s immigration status impacts one’s health. Estefania promotes We BUILD’s Immigrant Empowerment Conference April 27, 2012 from 4- 8 pm at Pierce College. Carlos also ends his portion by discussing the update on the tax proposal compromise with Jerry Brown.
