The “Voice for the Voiceless” presents a discussion on the role of women in politics. Regem Corpuz hosts the show with guest Leticia Munoz, a UC Santa Barbara graduate and public affairs analyst. Munoz discusses the origins of International Women’s Day, and how the UN is spearheading in fighting on issues that affect women today, such as poverty and hunger. Corpuz also discusses the importance of women in the 2012 elections, and how important issues such as abortion and contraception, are being addressed today. Munoz ends her interview by discussing the need to be educated and active voters today, disregarding the media rhetoric by “turning off the t.v. and doing your research”, not voting on just a single issue, and learning to disagree without hating the people that do not agree with you.
