Las fotos project is a non-profit, Los Angeles based photography program that aims to help teenage girls from low to middle income families, by providing them with one-on-one mentoring and photography training. The goal is to help build up their confidence and encourage them to express themselves through the art of photography. Las Fotos Project just opened a new gallery in Lincoln Heights that provides the girls with a safe space to go in between classes or after school and allows them to display their work to the public in a professional setting. Each member of the project has a unique story to share about how art has helped them to overcome adversity.
