Today’s show, “Beauty from Within” was my initiation to KPCRadio.com. I had a great chat with nutritionist and author, Ken Babel about maintaining natural beauty and his most recent book, “Mushrooms for Health and Longevity.” We gabbed about mushrooms, powerful ways to eat and how to improve “hanky panky” while living a beautiful life.

Today, Dr. Angeles Arrien, cultural anthropologist and award winning author who speaks internationally, shared her insight into Gratitude, explaining how every culture has ways to say “Thank You”. Dr. Arrien spoke about the gratitude practices, perennial wisdom (multi-cutlural wisdom), and the four universal portals to gratitude. She also discussed overcoming the obstacles to gratitude, and shared insight into “grateful seeing”. Her book “Living in Gratitude” is a must read if you are interested in cultivating gratitude into your daily life!

Today in studio founders, the executive director, and volunteers came in to speak about their experience with the Village Gardeners, an organization committed to restoring a stretch of the Los Angeles River that runs along Valley Heart between Fulton and Coldwater Canyon, in the San Fernando Valley. The inspiration of two individuals dedicated to planting along the walkway, blossomed into hundreds of volunteers offering their time and assistance in helping this stretch along the LA River to thrive!
