Documentary: The Midnight Hour Records

Hosted by Lizi Escobar

Located in the heart of the San Fernando Valley, the local music community lives to see another day at The Midnight Hour Records shop. Independent owners Sergio and Alyssa Amalfitano opened up the brick-and-mortar music store last year during the COVID-19 pandemic and have remained a success.

There has been a decline in music stores and venues in the SFV, forcing many Valley residents to fulfill their musical needs elsewhere. The Midnight Hour Records is actively working to restore the Valley-based music community. Take a listen for a deeper understanding of how the shop has thrived throughout the pandemic!
