Local Voices with Isela Gonzalez is a weekly talk show discussing local community issues. On this episode Isela interviews Julio Celada from the County Department of Mental Health. Julio discusses the importance of support groups, and his position supervising mental health groups for Spanish speakers. He explains that the program is free to Los Angeles County residents. Julio talks about the different diagnosis of mental health, such as stress, depression and even schizophrenia. He says that the program also has groups for all members of the family, and he mentions that he has worked for the County of Los Angeles for 10 years.

Studying Spanish at CSUN with Adrián

Hoy es Domingo with Malena Fuentes is a show that focuses on the power of the Spanish voices in our community. On this episode Malena talks with Adrián Pérez, who is a Spanish professor at California State University Northridge. En su lengua nativa (his native tongue) He talks about the importance of Spanish is in our community. He explains the differences in the American and European education systems. Adrián discuses the various languages offered in the Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures at CSUN, and the different cultures he teaches. He also shares his history as an educator, while talking about his journey to become a professor.

Isela and Haydee discuss mental health in the hispanic community.

Local Voices with Isela González is a weekly talk show discussing local community issues. On this episode Isela interviews Haydee Guevara which is the president of Coalition Latina. The Coalition meets once a month in the California Endowment building. Los Angeles County Department Mental health support. This organization works with the Hispanic community and everyone is welcome. Haydee shares her personal experiences dealing with mental health. The Coalition provides food and host group meetings.
