On the first episode of “Study Busters” host Marc Blais and student tutor Marielle Stober discuss the different techniques tutors use when helping students learn.
Joseph Roberson is a pierce college counselor. Roberson uses his story to help motivate students to achieve their academic and athletic goals on campus. Roberson also strives to motivate young men outside of the campus to make better decisions for their future.
The Associated Students Organization is profiled by Jordan Bettencourt. He speaks with the President, and two of the senators. They detail what goes on with the ASO, and what about the organization makes membership worthwhile.
Margarita Pillado is not only a Spanish professor at Pierce College, but she is also in charge of the accreditation committee. She created Curriculum 35, 36, and 37 for Spanish, which are available for transfer and for the major. Pillado is a woman that has gone a long way before being where she currently is. In this podcast, Pillado is interviewed by Yadira Gonzalez and talks about how her passion for teaching began, a little bit on her personal life, and all the struggles she had to face before coming to Pierce College, which she said is her ideal job. Pillado also talks about the many duties she performs on campus, and the goals she is still looking forward to achieve as a professional.
