Maryley discusses organizing the first mural tour in Pacoima, California.

Hoy es Domingo with Malena Fuentes is a show that focuses on the power of the Spanish voices in our community. On this episode Malena interviews Maryley Carrillo Camacho, who is the committee co-chair at The Museum of the San Fernando Valley Public Art Initiative. She discusses organizing the first mural tour in Pacoima, and how the proceeds from the event assisted in restoring some of the murals in the community. She says that next exhibition they will be sponsoring will focus on Latin American art in the Valley. Maryley shares that they have a permanent collection called Hollywood at Home, which is about about the artists that lived in San Fernando Valley. She also talks about other art initiatives, such as Horses Across the Valley, and the Art Speakers Series.
