Eating: History and Culture
Hosted by Gabriella Gregor-Splaver
The easiest way to dive deeper into the history and role that eating has played in our lives is to look at food and culinary practices through the lens of cultural anthropology. On this episode of Eating, we have the pleasure of talking to Dr. Erin Hays, one of our very own Professors at Pierce and the Head Department Chair of Anthropology. Dr. Hayes shares her anthropological perspective on eating, numerous different examples of cultures and their food around the world, and gives us her thoughts on the effects globalization will have on the way we eat in the future.
