Marijuana is shown to have properties that can aid users with muscle pain as well as sleeping disorders such as insomnia. California was the first state to make marijuana legal for medicinal purposes back in 1996 and since then it has become popular as an alternative form of medication, with several dispensaries opening around the United States as well as in Canada. It has also been made legal in a growing number of other countries from around the world. Click here to see the legal status of marijuana and marijuana derivatives in the Czech Republic for example. This documentary covers the benefits medicinal marijuana has on users while also covering the risks to marijuana use and its new regulation. For Simons medicinal marijuana is the only way she is able to live a peaceful pain free life, for law enforcement marijuana is a constant stress and trouble maker.
