Alternative Free Radio is a sonic space for radical art, music and activism throughout Los Angeles hosted by Brian Hernández. In this segment, Brian interviews former Pierce student and civil rights organizer Ronnie of Veliz of Somos Familia Valle, a Valley-based youth and parent organization that promotes a healthier and safer San Fernando Valley by Empowering queer and transgender Latin@ community and straight supporters to engage in Transformative Dialogue, Activism and familiar collectivism.
Somos Familia Valle will be collaborating with Immigration groups for San Fernando Out of the Shadows 2015, a pride march focusing on queer and undocumented folks in the Valley on March 21 at noon.
