“Voice for the Voiceless” ends its third season the way it began: discussing the rights of the voiceless, the undocumented students. For this installment, Regem Corpuz interviews Vanessa, a third-year immigration law student from Southwestern Law School. Vanessa describes the current “Right to Dream” campaign in response to the immigration issues occurring around the nation. She also discusses, “Immigration Day 2012,” which took place Monday, in Sacramento. To end the interview, Regem asks Vanessa questions, concerning the 4 major topics on the minds of undocumented students: travelling, working, legalization, and current legislation. Regem ends the show by discussing the need to become the “Voice for the Voiceless” in the community, today.

Today, Regem Corpuz interviews Angel Silva, writer for El Vaquero newspaper  for Glendale Community College, and an affiliate with V.O.I.C.E.S.  Angel discusses, the deeper budget deficit announced by Governor Brown, and how the possible budget cuts may deter the education system further. Silva, also talks about the upcoming tax initiatives. On another note, The DREAM Act Lite will soon be presented by Senator Marco Rubio of Florida. Silva illustrates how this alternative would create a subclass of citizens, rather than giving undocumented students a pathway to citizenship. Regem Corpuz ends the show with presenting a question to the audience “Do you take your citizenship for granted?”, as he presents how Facebook Co- founder, Eduardo Saverin gives up his U.S. citizenship because of his opposition to “pay more taxes.”

Today on the show, Regem Corpuz interviews Matthew Delgado, a CSUN student affiliated with SQE and also a participant in the hunger strike taking place on the campus. Matthew gives a little overview on what SQE is, and the importance of the strike. Delgado believes that mismanagement of funding by the CSU Board of Trustees has occurred, while students are suffering from the budget cuts. Regem ends the show with some topics on SB1070, Rubio’s Dream Act and some words from President Obama.

Today, host Regem Corpuz covers the May Day Rally as he speaks to Adalberto Moreno, an affiliate and organizer from KIWA. Moreno describes the immigrant organizations marching in support of immigration reform and to support the end to SB1070, as the supreme court is still hearing arguments for and against it. Regem transitions his show into presenting MEChA as they kick off this week with their Cinco de Mayo Event May 03, 2012 in Rocky Young Park, by the Center for Sciences. MEChA discusses how they will present “A Better Life”, a movie to open the discourse of immigration to Pierce College. They also debunk some misconceptions of Cinco de Mayo, such as it not the Independence Day of Mexico. They also discuss their support for immigration and their views on SB1070. The show was concluded with MEChA bringing a unity clap.

Today, Regem Corpuz speaks to the women of We BUILD (Nayeli, Carina, and Estefania).  They relate their experiences on reaching out to high school students and the community and in general. They also discuss reasons why they do what they do best- serving the immigrant community. Lastly, they give an overview of the conference, and urge the Pierce College community to come over.

Today on the show, Regem speaks to DREAM Activist Justino Mora. Justino Mora discusses the planned hearing of SB1070 at the Supreme court, where both pro-immigrant and anti-immigrant groups share their arguments for or against the legislation. Justino mentions the large impact the ruling would be to immigration policy. On the next portion of the interview, Justino shares his experience in the recent protest in UCLA during DHS director Janet Napolitano’s presentation on “Secure Communities.” On the last portion, Justino discusses the political ploys of the Republican party and their “DREAM Act lite”, spearheaded by Marco Rubio.
