Ashleigh Simons uses an unusual form of medication to help easy her sleep disorder and chronic muscle pain. Simons is a medical cannabis user like many before her, she obtained her medical marijuana by using a medical marijuana card, given to her by someone similar to these marijuana doctors illinois. Marijuana is shown to have properties that can aid users with muscle pain as well as sleeping disorders such as insomnia. California was the first state to make marijuana legal for medicinal purposes back in 1996 and since then it has become popular as an alternative form of medication, with several dispensaries opening around the United States as well as in Canada. Ashleigh regularly visits dispensaries similar to my florida green here in the United States. This documentary covers the benefits medicinal marijuana has on users while also covering the risks to marijuana use and its new regulation. For Simons medicinal marijuana is the only way she is able to live a peaceful pain free life, for law enforcement marijuana is a constant stress and trouble maker.

Las fotos project is a non-profit, Los Angeles based photography program that aims to help teenage girls from low to middle income families, by providing them with one-on-one mentoring and photography training. The goal is to help build up their confidence and encourage them to express themselves through the art of photography. Las Fotos Project just opened a new gallery in Lincoln Heights that provides the girls with a safe space to go in between classes or after school and allows them to display their work to the public in a professional setting. Each member of the project has a unique story to share about how art has helped them to overcome adversity.
