Today, host Regem Corpuz covers the May Day Rally as he speaks to Adalberto Moreno, an affiliate and organizer from KIWA. Moreno describes the immigrant organizations marching in support of immigration reform and to support the end to SB1070, as the supreme court is still hearing arguments for and against it. Regem transitions his show into presenting MEChA as they kick off this week with their Cinco de Mayo Event May 03, 2012 in Rocky Young Park, by the Center for Sciences. MEChA discusses how they will present “A Better Life”, a movie to open the discourse of immigration to Pierce College. They also debunk some misconceptions of Cinco de Mayo, such as it not the Independence Day of Mexico. They also discuss their support for immigration and their views on SB1070. The show was concluded with MEChA bringing a unity clap.
