Eclipse Party

From the Pierce website: “Please join us on the second floor of the Center for the Sciences for our FREE outdoor look at the Great American Eclipse. The sun will get about 50 precent covered by the moon. Everyone is welcome to attend and we’ll have eclipse glasses for our participants so they can watch the eclipse safely! We’ll also have solar telescopes specially built to see the sun in a safe manner. Find out how eclipses happen and how they have played a role in history. The best entrance is at Mason and Victory, parking is in the big parking lot to the left as you enter and then just walk into the big building right there, the Center for the Sciences and come up to the second floor. Look for the big patio near the big blue dome! Coming from the parking lot, elevators are near the front right entrance and the back left entrance. For any other accommodations or questions, please contact Dale Fields at [email protected]

The free event will be held at the Center for the Sciences on Monday, April 8 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Eclipse glasses and solar telescopes will be provided.
