Brahma Sports Weekly – 11-23-10

On the Nov. 23 edition of Brahma Sports Weekly hosts Tyler McGee and Bryan Melara talked playoffs. The boys recapped the football teams 58-36 win versus San Bernardino Valley College Saturday night in the American Championship Bowl. They also talked about the soccer teams win over Long Beach City College 1-0 Saturday as well as previewing the teams game later that afternoon versus El Camino City College. Also being previewed was the Women’s Volleyball game that night versus Long Beach City College. Guests UD, a photographer for the Roundup and Pierce wide receiver Kenny Davis joined the McGee and Melara on the show.

On the Nov.22 edition of  “TREBLE  CLEF  LIVE” host Leigh Swansborough welcomed singer song writer Lucy Schwartz.

Lucy played songs from her new album “Life In Letters”, with Mona Tavakolia on percussion and  Ann Marie Cullen on guitar.

Youthful, yet lyrically and vocally mature, Lucy openly talked about her development and growth as a song writer.

On  the Nov.15  edition  of  “TREBLE CLEF LIVE”  host  Leigh  Swansborough  welcomed  Guatemalansinger/songwriter  Gaby Moreno and  fellow  band member Arthur Briatzch.

Performing songs from her debut album “Still The Unknown” Gaby talked about the first time she heard the blues whilst on vacation in New York city as a little girl. Gaby  fell in love with the blues,which then led to her exploration of Jazz and Soul.

Since moving to America in 2001, Gaby was the first Latin artist to ever win the John Lennon song writing contest, and has toured with Ani Di Franco and Tracy Chapman. Gaby can be heard performing the song ‘SMILE” in the Oscar award winning documentary “THE COVE”.

Gaby also performed new songs from her upcoming album, including the Lesos, and Spanish Cinema.
