Lisa Valdez and Charles Johnson express their support for military veterans
Pierce Projects is a community involved radio talk show hosted by Lucas Wiggins on KPCRadio.com where he interviews Pierce College faculty members and members of the community who are involved in planned and scheduled events that support our student population at the college. On todays show Lucas interviews Lisa Valdez, an outreach librarian at the Pierce library, and Charles Johnson, an adjunct faculty member on a special assignment with the Associated Students Organization. Both guests discuss future projects in support of our student Veteran population at Pierce.

Hengame Abassi invites listeners to experience Mehregan
Farsi Show with Hengame Abassi focuses on the people in our community who make a difference across cultures. On todays episode Hengame attends Mehregan (The Iranian harvest festival) on October 4 2015. Thousands of Iranians attended the event art Pierce College to celebrate the Fall harvest. Throughout the day Hengame interviewed Zarrin Azadi who is a physiologist and the founder of Shining Soul Institute a local nonprofit that assists cancer patients. She also interviewed Mitra Hoshiar a sociology professor who explains the history of Mehregan.
