On this episode of “Have a Care,’ host Danielle Padilla is joined by St.A.S.H. club president Jordan Rice. He talks about the club’s origins, how food insecurity affects students on campus, and what you can do to get involved.
On the second episode of “A Helpful Heart” Rebecca Paredes interviewed Edwin Soto Saucedo who works with activist groups in his community that promote awareness of political and social issues. Saucedo is an undocumented student that wants to help further others in ways that he didn’t receive as he was growing up. Tune in to hear what he has done for his community and how he plans to continue to help.
On the first episode of A Helpful Heart, Rebecca Paredes will be interviewing Kori Oyler who has created her own project to give back to the homeless in her community. Farsi Show with Hengame Abassi focuses on the people in our community who make a difference across cultures. On todays episode Hengame traveled to the the International Child Day event at the Calabasas Civic Center on Sunday November 22. The event was sponsored by Child Foundation and it’s group of volunteers.
Peyman Raoofi, Psy.D., who is the president of Child Foundation and Cambria Findley-Grubb invited UNICEF representatives, speakers and a host of children out for the occasion. Children from age of two- eleven danced, played music, held a fashion show. During the festivities reporters from KPCRadio.com, Krin670 am, and Radio Shadi were covered the event.
In cooperation with the Child Foundation, KPCRadio.com’s the Farsi Show is hosting a clothing drive for refugees children around the world.

Larry Hernandez and Andy Alcala were guests on this weeks program. Larry and Andy are childhood friends and board members of “Our Gang,” a Chicano motorcycle club based in the city of San Fernando. The 18 men and 18 women that comprise the club consider themselves family. They organize community events and donate the money fundraised. They are collaborating with the LAPD on the Christmas Toy Run of San Fernando Valley, a toy drive they began a few years ago.
