Lets Talk Community with Lupe LLerenas is a show that focuses on community involvement. On this episode Lupe interviews Evelyn Juarez and Cristen Sayegh from CCRC which is the Child Care Resource Center in Chatsworth. Evelyn is the Center’s community outreach specialist and Cristen is the communications and marketing specialist. Lupe is also joined by Tanisha Saunders and Cheron Lewis of the Child Development Club at Pierce College. The group discuss the programs offered by the Resource Center, and the upcoming Book and Toy Drive they are hosting this holiday season. They also explain the connection between the Child Development Club and how the Child Care Resource Center supports students in the Brahma community.

Larry Hernandez and Andy Alcala were guests on this weeks program. Larry and Andy are childhood friends and board members of “Our Gang,” a Chicano motorcycle club based in the city of San Fernando. The 18 men and 18 women that comprise the club consider themselves family. They organize community events and donate the money fundraised. They are collaborating with the LAPD on the Christmas Toy Run of San Fernando Valley, a toy drive they began a few years ago.
