She is joined by Jose Montes de Oca, who is a singer and a composer of Electronica music. Nadia Abrica is a community organizer from San Fernando Valley. They are also joined by Julia Alvarez, a public relations strategist and Rosie Gutierrez, who is the CEO and founder of Mexico for the World. Jose Monte de oca performs “Tocame Suavemente” and a couple of his other songs. Nadia mentions the opening of a new restaurant called Mamá Lichas Kitchen located in Sylmar. Julia and Rosie also spoke about an upcoming event.

On this episode Isela interview Guillermo Gomez who is knows as the Friend of Artists in the Spanish speaking community. He explains how many local artists him and with him. He shares his CD, which is in honor of Vicente Fernandez. Guillermo  mentions that he has appeared at several festivals and events including the Cinco de Mayo community event on television. Guillermo talks about sharing the stage with Don Francisco, Cristina, Primer Impacto, Caso Cerrado and much more. He says he is currently studying opera, interpreting Ranchera on the Romantic, and the art of storytelling. Guillermo mentions that has had the same vocal coach since he was fifteen years old. He talks about his experiences on an competitive show on Facebook called Premios de los Catantes

Local Voices with Isela Gonzalez is a show that focuses on mental health in our community.  On this episode Isela interviews Tristan who represents the organization Painted Brain, which is an organization that works with adult mental health patients. He shares his personal experience with being hospitalized for schizophrenia, and now working with the community through his organization. He mentions that the program offers free classes on songwriting, social media, theatre, art, etc. Tristan also shares that it is open to all adults and is totally free.
