They talk about how competitive then dance world is, and some of the things you need to be successful. Sam discusses how he began dancing as a child- light bribery and coercion- and the highs and the lows he had to endure to be where he is today. Sam has experimented in both hip hop and ballroom, but specializes in International Latin dance. Sam and Justin both discuss “never having too many hustles,” goals for the future and more.

She explains how her passion for dance began and how she continues to expand her love for dance with students. She talks about the opportunities she came across while dancing. Ghiglia believes that everyone is connected to music in some way and encourages those who want to dance to give it a shot, not give up and trust that practice makes us all better.

Victoria discusses the challenges of being at a University, while sharing her views on time management. She talks about her transition from High School, and how being apart of projects like Upward Bound, Project Grad and the Puente Project helped her to prepare. She mentions the challenges of being a full-time student, while working full-time. Victoria explains that it’s important for students to ask for help to succeed. She says that there are several resources available on campus at CSUN.
